We offer complete services for consulting, planting and designing of plans with or without construction.
Appointments are needed for meetings with the Lakewood Lawn and Gardens design staff.
After business hours appointments are available.

Easy Steps to a Beautiful Landscape Include:
1. Initial Consultation:
This involves meeting with you to review your needs and design requirements.
This can be at your site or at the garden center.
Appointment is required, call for appointment times available.
Estimate Time: 1/4 - 1/2 hour.
Fees: Your site, $75.
Garden Center: No Charge first ¼ hour. Beyond 15 minutes, a consultation fee is charged at $85 per hour and billed in quarter hour increments.
Before meeting it is a good idea to have a list of your likes and dislikes involving your landscape concept. Color choices, whither you like evergreen or deciduous trees and shrubs is just some of the ideas we need to know about you. For rough estimates it is helpful to have photos and measurements of your area.

Some customers will find this level of consultation supplies more than enough information to proceed with.
2. Site Inventory & Concept Design:
For landscapes that require more than the initial consultation we will gather additional information on the site Including physical characteristics such as slope, soil conditions and take measurements so we may prepare a conceptual design.
Time: 1 to 2 hours. Estimated Fee: $75 to $150.
At this point we can now discuss finer details about the plan and make paper changes as required.
Drawings are rough hand drawn at this stage.
Some plans may need no further considerations past this point, others may need to continue on to step 3.
3. Master Plan:
We further refine concepts into a detailed final computer drawing, defining hardscapes and plant materials.
Time: 2 to 10 hours. Estimated Fee: $150 to $750
Average designs are approx. $300.00 - $500.00.
Consulting is a time sensitive endeavor.
Please arrange detailed consulting 6-8 weeks in advance of your expected starting time.
All Consultation and Design Fees are deductible from the total cost of regular priced materials.
A 5% discount, up to the cost of the initial fee, will be reduced from project materials purchased at Lakewood Lawn and Garden.
Example 1: Plan cost $400, landscape project materials cost $8,000.00, the entire planning fee is deductible.
Example 2: Landscape material cost $1,500.00 and labor cost $500.00 for a total of $2,000.00 project cost, you can deduct $75.00, or 5% of the material.
The discount must be used within one year, may not be applied to split tickets, and accumulation of tickets is not allowed. This discount does not apply to delivery fees, labor, or any subcontracted materials and labor.
